Nancy R. (Boyd) Cota Brinklow

Nancy R. Cota Brinklow, 74, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Northwest Health - La Porte.

Nancy was born on June 29, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN, to Kenneth Edwin and Margie Eileen (Sullivan) Boyd. 

On June 12, 1971, in Indianapolis, IN, she married Robert Arnold Cota, who preceded her in death on September 24, 1998.  On August 8, 1981 in La Porte, IN, she married Arthur Allen "Al" Brinklow, who preceded her in death on March 29, 2011.  Surviving Nancy are her sons, David (Michelle) Cota of La Porte and Edwin (Heidi) Brinklow of Canton, IL; 2 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husbands; parents; and sister, Terry Boyd Hart.

Nancy was an elementary school teacher for 37 years.  Following her retirement, Nancy supervised student teachers for both IUSB and PNW, formerly PNC.  She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of La Porte, where she sang in the choir, was an Elder, and held the position of Clerk of Session.  Nancy was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.  She was honored to be a Lay Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Winamac, IN.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at The Presbyterian Church of La Porte with Rev. Jane Anabe officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.
